Always.Nothing sits on a shelf waiting to be sold. Every bun is proofed, baked and finished specifically for your order, so it arrives as fresh as possible. We start planning for the week ahead so you can have fresh bakes every weekend

Do you make EVERYTHING from scratch?

Accepted Answer

Yes—right down to the jams, fruit curds, butter, fillings and dough. That's why you'll see some of our ingredients repeat across our bakes - we don't like to waste anything, even our buttermilk.The only exceptions are ingredients that deserve to be celebrated rather than recreated, like Oreos or butter toffee sweets. Everything else starts with raw ingredients in our kitchen.

Where do your recipe ideas come from?

Every recipe began with a story. A singular lived experience. A moment in time wanting to be preserved.Some are inspired by family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Others come from years spent travelling, discovering flavours in little cafés, market squares and village bakeries across Europe and beyond.

Do you cater for allergies?

Allergen and ingredient information is available online for each product, and on every label.While we take allergen management seriously, all bakes are produced in a home kitchen where gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, sesame and other allergens are regularly used. Because of this, we can't guarantee that any product is completely free from cross-contamination.

Why do some products disappear?

If the wild blackberries aren't growing, there won't be blackberry buns. If strawberries aren't at their sweetest, we'll wait until they are.Some flavours become seasonal favourites, returning for just a few weeks each year—something to look forward to, rather than something that's always there.

Can I heat or freeze these?

A few seconds in the microwave is often all the buns, banana and milk bread needs to become warm, soft and wonderfully fluffy again.We recommend freezing our cookies and bakes on the day you receive them, and defrost them overnight - then pop them on the side to get to room temperature. Whenever the craving strikes, a freezer drawer quietly stocked with homemade bakes feels a little like looking after your future self.
